TPXO9-atlas HR solution area limits


    TPXO9-atlas is 1/30 degree resolution fully global solution, obtained by combining 1/6 degree base global solution TPXO9.v1 and 1/30 resolution local solutions for all coastal areas including Arctic and Antarctic. The local solution area limits are shown above with frames on the background of absolute M2 elevation difference between TPXO9 and TPXO9-atlas. The scale is logarithmic. Thus red color corresponds to ~1m, yellow to ~10cm and blue to ~1mm difference. There is no difference between the two solutions in the deep ocean (white).

  We provide TPXO9-atlas in two popular formats:


1. our traditional binary format (OTPS format);
2. netcdf format


NEW!  OTPS now provides functionality to extract 1/30 resolution local tidal solution (bathymetry, elevations and transports) for any given rectangular area limits using multiple TPXO9-atlas single constituent files to form multi-constituent elevation and transport files in the regular OTIS binary format.


IMPORTANT! 
We do not provide TPXO9-atlas single patches, i.e. 1/30 local solutions included in TPXO9-atlas, since now we provide this new OTPS functionality instead. Older historic regional and local solutions are still available on our web site.
